Lemon to get rid of Dandruff Naturally

Take two tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice and apply it directly on the scalp. Let it sit for a minute and then rinse your hair with a teaspoon of the lemon juice mixed in a cup of water before washing your hair normally. 

Lemon juice is acidic in nature and that is why it works incredibly in breaking down the fungus that causes dandruff. It is very easily available and will work wonders when it comes to dandruff. 

Use Tea Tree Oil to treat Dandruff at home

Dilute 5% Tea Tree Oil in water or chamomile tea and convert it into a spray bottle. Spray the mixture all over your scalp before washing your hair with normal water. 

Tea Tree Oil has antimicrobial properties and is very effective in fighting fugus that causes dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis both. It is also anti-inflammatory which helps soothe the scalp.

Coconut Oil to hydrate your scalp

Warm coconut oil and apply it for 30-60 minutes before washing your hair. It is known to have antimicrobial properties which helps prevent dandruff and hydrates the scalp thus reducing inflammation and itchiness.

Use Apple Cider Vinegar for Dandruff Treatment

Take 2-3 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar and mix it with same amount of water. Convert the mixture in a spray bottle and spray it all over your scalp. Let it sit for a few minutes before washing your head. It removes the dead skin cells and balance scalp’s pH.

Aloe Vera to remove Dandruff

Apply freshly squeezed aloe vera gel directly on your scalp and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Aloe vera is a succulent known to treat psoriasis and burns. It also has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties that treats dandruff.

Use Baking Soda to exfoliate Scalp 

Apply 2 tablespoon of Baking Soda directly to wet hair and massage in circular motions. Wash normally after 2-3 minutes. It is a gentle exfoliant and helps clean the scalp by removing the excess buildup.

Amla for Dandruff

  • Take dried Amla (Indian Gooseberry), Margosa leaves and Shikakasi (pods of soap nut acacia) and mix them in equal parts. Grind the mixture into fine powder. Mix 2 tablespoon of this mixture in a litre of water and wash your hair with it.
  • Take equal amount of Amla Powder and water to form a thin paste. Add a paste of 8-10 Tulsi leaves with water to this and apply it to your scalp for 30 minutes.

Amla is rich in Vitamin C and has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It which helps with dry scalp and itchiness along with removing dandruff.
